Groom Checklist: A Complete Groom Wedding Day Checklist
Leading up to your wedding day, there are so many things to remember: Did you book the DJ? Have your groomsmen rented their tuxedos? Did you memorize all the steps for your surprise dance routine? Once all the big items have been checked off the list, the day before the wedding is all about making final preparations to ensure you look and feel great while watching the love of your life walk down the aisle. One or two days before the wedding, we suggest you pack an overnight bag full of the must-have wedding necessities for the groom that you don’t want to forget on the big day. The following groom checklist will help you keep track of all the items you’ll need:

Wedding Rings. Top of the list on the groom checklist are, of course, the wedding rings. Forgetting the rings on the morning of your wedding will have your bride wondering why she’s marrying you in the first place. Pack the rings in a safe spot, or give them to your best man to keep track of.
Letter to the bride. A popular tradition, many brides will anticipate a letter from you to read before the wedding. This letter is an opportunity for you to express your love and share your excitement right before the wedding. Your letter doesn’t have to be long, but make sure it comes from the heart.
Groomsmen gifts. Your groomsmen are your closest buddies who have been there for you through all of life’s ups and downs. To thank them for everything they’ve done – from planning a killer bachelor party to helping you tie the perfect bow tie on your wedding day – it is customary to give a gift to each groomsmen. You can invest in personalized gifts, or prepare matching goodie bags for everyone. No matter what you pick, they’ll appreciate that even on the biggest day of your life, you took the time to recognize them.
Hair product. Often in the chaos of a wedding, grooms will forget to bring the most basic grooming accessories. This often includes the hair products they need to transform their bed head into a seriously sophisticated quaff. Pack the gel and remember, less is more.
Razor. Whether you have a beard or plan to be clean-shaven on your wedding day, a razor should be on your groom checklist. If rocking a beard, make sure it is neat and trimmed. If shaving, do so the morning of the wedding so that your face is nice and smooth.
Deodorant. Even though your bride will promise to love you better or for worse, don’t make her second-guess the decision to say “I do” because you aren’t smelling very fresh at the altar. Pack your deodorant, and throw in a couple of extra sticks for any forgetful groomsmen.
Snacks & drinks. In most cases, the groom and his groomsmen are getting dressed hours before the wedding is actually set to begin. Keep yourself and your boys happy with a selection of snacks and drinks to tide them over before the reception. Put together something simple like a meat, cheese, and cracker platter, and crack open a six-pack while you wait for the nuptials to begin.
Tux and all the trimmings. This seems like a no brainer, but don’t forget to add your tuxedo and accessories to your groom checklist. Make sure all the pieces are there, including the jacket, trousers, and shirt, plus a vest or cummerbund if part of your ensemble.
