George Clooney’s Classic Style
To the disappointment of every “single” girl, George Clooney tied the knot September 27th, to Amal Alamuddin a British human rights attorney. Even through the heart throb is off the market, George showed the world that he is truly a romantic with a multi-million dollar wedding weekend in Venice, Italy. Venice, the City of Love, is considered the most romantic city in the world, with fairytale gondola rides and breathtaking architecture. Truly the perfect location for a Hollywood wedding. Guests arrived in water taxis, including Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Emily Blunt, and of course Bill Murray who made a grand entrance. The guests donned their black tuxedos, which added to the romance and elegance of the event.
The wedding weekend was a whirlwind with a private ceremony Saturday at the Aman Canal Grande Venice Resort. George arrived by motorboat for his fairytale wedding, all the guests followed in a motor boat parade. During the weekend, the Grand Canal was closed as the couple toured the city in a motorboat named “Amore.”
For the most important role of his life, George wore a custom made Giorgio Armani black tuxedo in super fine wool with a white tuxedo shirt, black bow tie, formal black leather shoes and customized cuff links from his bride. This classic look was perfect for George who has been dubbed “The class act of all class acts!”
The bride was stunning in her custom A-line, off the shoulder, French lace and beaded gown designed by Oscar de la Renta. The pair looked sensational in their wedding attire.
The bride’s mother sums it all up, “The wedding was so unbelievably special, it was legendary. These three days – the friends, the families, the atmosphere, everything – will stay with me all the rest of my life.” Even though most of us cannot afford a fairytale Venice wedding, it is friends and family who share your wedding day that make your special day memorable.
